ABOUT BOLOBO
Bolobo was founded in 2024 by Lara, Amelia and Sam who came together through a combined love of the mountains, travel and beautifully designed spaces. Lara and Amelia met in Morzine on a ski season in 2014, before both moving to London to build their careers in property development and construction management respectively. In 2022, they agreed it was time for a new challenge; developing a chalet in Morzine. Sam joined the team in 2023 after meeting Lara through large development projects in the UK.
While designing and managing the first chalet, they discovered their alignment in ambitions of developing luxury, meticulously designed spaces – underpinned by functionality and experience. Together, they bring over 30 years experience working in development and construction; from early inception stage through to delivery, overseeing all elements of business development, design, fundraising, approvals, delivery, quality control and project management.
At Bolobo, we believe in giving back to the places we work in. We find our sites based on personal experience, and want to ensure that we make a positive contribution to the places we have so much love for visiting. We always work with local artisans and contractors; trying to procure locally where possible.
We pride ourselves on building partnerships with local artisans and businesses, with the aim of developing symbiotic long-term relationships. For us, it’s all about understanding the heart of the place we are – what makes it unique – it’s community. And from there, looking to curate our spaces with unique, sustainable and high quality products. We find that a random meeting on a dog walk can often lead on to a great opportunity for a partnership!
